People’s Choice: Bendigo’s Best Red 2025

🎉 And the winner is… 🎉

After a closely contested blind tasting during Bendigo Wine Week, Burnt Acre Vineyard has taken out the People’s Choice award for Bendigo’s Best Red 2025 with their 2021 The Ants Pants Shiraz/Cabernet blend.

Twelve local red wines went head-to-head in a public blind tasting hosted at Wine Bank on View, with voters judging purely on what was in the glass. No labels, no producers revealed, just flavour, balance and enjoyment.

Congratulations to Burnt Acre Vineyard on claiming the top spot in this much-loved Bendigo Wine Week event.

Celebrating Bendigo’s local wine community

A huge thank you to all the local wineries who entered, to everyone who tasted and voted, and to Wine Bank on View for once again hosting and supporting this popular competition.

For those who took part in the tasting, the full line-up of wines is on display at Wine Bank on View. Many of these outstanding local reds are also available to taste or purchase, making it easy to raise a glass to Bendigo’s best.

This People’s Choice award is a celebration of our region’s depth of talent, quality fruit and passionate winemakers, and of the wine lovers who continue to support Bendigo Wine Week year after year. 🍷
