In between Bendigo Heritage After Dark and Heritage Uncorked = something new on the calendar - a week packed with events that bring you wine, gourmet food, live music and the chance to step inside Bendigo's historic buildings.
Plan to be part of the inagural Bendigo Uncorked Week, 6th to 15th October, and make the most of the special tasting events being organised around town. Read on for all the event and booking details.


Bendigo Heritage After Dark

Bendigo Heritage After Dark is a relaxed wine tasting and food sampling affair in the historic and alluring Fortuna Villa. Tickets include wine tastings, souvenir wine glass, food hamper box and live music.

With family or friends you can raise a glass and enjoy the magnificent ambience of Fortuna Villa while sipping from more than 30 Bendigo region wines. This is a casual and fun wine event to end your working week. Free buses will be available from Central Bendigo but you need to book your spot.

Bendigo Heritage Uncorked

Bendigo Heritage Uncorked is a wine and food event with a difference. It’s a moving, yes moving – like walking, feast of the Bendigo region.
Your ticket is a special opportunity to taste the wines of the Bendigo region, matched with speciality food prepared by local chefs while strolling between seven stunning heritage buildings in Central Bendigo. It is an event with a relaxing pace, allowing you to stroll from one venue to the next when you're ready to discover more Bendigo wines, local food and the historical buildings that make the city so recognisable.

Located within Central Bendigo the seven venues are easy to walk between. At each venue you'll get to experience Bendigo's thriving foodie scene with entrée sized dishes developed specially for the day.

Each ticket includes wine tastings, seven entrée sized speciality dishes, souvenir tasting glass, carry bag and guide book with walking map and information for all wines.

Wines you enjoy on the day can be ordered from individual wineries or purchased from the Pop Up Wine Shop in Dudley House on View Street. Fastway Couriers Bendigo kindly provides free delivery half-dozens or dozens purchased.
The Wine Shop in Dudley House is open to the public.

For six days only we're opening up Bendigo's Pop Up Wine Shop. All the wines showcased at Bendigo Heritage Uncorked will be on display and available for purchase. Wines that love food, so you'll find a fantastic variety of reds, whites and sparkling to take home and enjoy.

Killiecrankie Wines @ Rocks On Rosalind

The evening commences with a brand new Killiecrankie Lola Montez aperitif cocktail made for the night by drinks master Finn Vedelsby. The following 5 course degustation dinner is a synergy of flavours between the award-winning wines of Killiecrankie and the food artistry from the mega talented Rocks On Rosalind kitchen.

Wine with the Vines

Dinner with Wes & Pam Vine, Mandurang Valley Wines
A 5 course degustation featuring aged wines from Mandurang Valley's Reserve Cellar with a locally-prepared menu from the Chefs at Sim R Café. Each ticket includes wine, dinner and a free bus home to addresses within the City of Bendigo. $130 per person.

Wine and the Anxious Goat

Burnt Acre & Lome Wines @ The Anxious Goat

Long table feast in the newly renovated Anxious Goat Café featuring Burnt Acre & Lome wines, matched to four courses from The Anxious Goat kitchen. The courses include charcuterie, chicken, risotto, roasted vegetables, slow-cooked lamb and cheeses.

Take a Sideways look at wine

Tuesday 10 October
Enjoy the 2004 cult wine film Sideways over a glass of Sandhurst Ridge wine at the Star Cinema, preceded by a wine tasting (including a Merlot, of course) of Sandhurst Ridge wines.

Join a tasting during Bendigo Uncorked Week, then on Sunday 15th October go along to Wine Bank on View to see who's voted #1, and stay for the wood fired pizzas. Just for voting you're in the running to win 6 bottles of the shiraz voted #1.

Strategem Bendigo Winemakers Festival

The popular Strategem Bendigo Winemakers Festival is a highlight on Bendigo's Autumn calendar, taking place in Rosalind Park in the centre of Bendigo

At the Strategem Bendigo Winemakers Festival you'll be treated to hand-crafted Bendigo region wines, regional food stalls and musical entertainment.

Red and white's produced by local wineries will be on show. It's a great day to meet the winemakers and sit back and enjoy the garden setting of Rosalind Park, in the heart of Bendigo. There'll be children's entertainment for the young at heart.

Ticket inclusions

Entry tickets include souvenir Festival glass, all wine tastings, music and the chance to win six Bendigo region wines. Best part - no tasting tokens! All wine tastings are included.

What's on

You can buy a glass or bottle on the day, sit and soak up the festival atmosphere. When you find a drop you love order directly from individual wineries. The full list of participating wineries will be posted here early 2018.

Plenty of food stalls will fill the air with mouth-watering aromas. So bring along your picnic rug or chairs, delight in a Bendigo region wine, tasty food and music that makes you smile.

Water can be carried into the festival, but there will also be water stations located in Rosalind Park.

How to get there

Entry to the Strategem Bendigo Winemakers Festival in Rosalind Park is via Sidney Myer Place, Bendigo. Rosalind Park is walking distance from Bendigo Train Station.
