Regional World's Longest Lunch Bendigo

Dine in style as part of Melbourne Food and Wine Festival

Sold out!

Ticket holders will dine under the canopy of heritage trees and enjoy the incredible wines from Bendigo’s gold-bearing soils, from rich, ripe reds to elegant whites, all perfectly matched to regional produce by Wine Bank on View chefs. Regional World's Longest Lunch Bendigo is a six course degustation menu with matching Bendigo region wines. Wines from the region are chosen by a panel of home-grown sommeliers and wine buyers. It's all part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival presented by Bank of Melbourne.

The same Bendigo soil that once provided wealth through gold, is now helping to produce award-winning wines to be enjoyed with lunch. Ticket holders may well be seated next to one of the local producers who has meticulously crafted the wine, and we know their stories will add to the sense of local identity visitors feel as the tantalising wine and food experience is enjoyed.

You can always call Wine Bank on View on 03 5444 4655 if you'd like to join the waiting list for the event.

Keep in touch with us on Facebook for wine and food announcements.

Barrel Alchemy in the Bendigo Wine Region

July 2017

Free to attend

Experience the magic happening in the wine barrels throughout
the Bendigo region.

Harvest will be over, grapes crushed and fermented. But that’s just the beginning of the winemaking process. In cellars and barrel halls during winter winemakers will be observing the shared relationship between wine, oak and the atmosphere.

The barrel halls are usually guarded treasures but in July you get to visit barrel halls throughout the Bendigo region and indulge in wine barrel alchemy. You will meet the winemakers and uncover the mystery and romance of winemaking.

Visit this page again soon to find out which wineries will be opening their barrel halls and which weekend in July will be Barrel Tasting Weekend. Then simply ring the participating winery (or wineries) you would like to visit and book your barrel tasting session. There is no cost to experience tasting wine straight from the source.

If you fall in love with a certain drop, be sure to check with the winemaker about a pre-release purchase at a special price.
