Take in Bendigo Uncorked Week and enjoy the region’s wine and food in the historic landmarks of Bendigo. Crafted as a boutique experience for those who enjoy everything wine and food, this week offers exciting events to indulge your senses.
The week begins with the ever-popular Bendigo Heritage After Dark on Friday 12th October in the Fortuna Villa Gold Crushing Room, and finishes with Bendigo Heritage Uncorked on Saturday 20th.
In between are wine and food pairing sessions, incredible wine dinners from local Bendigo wineries, tastings with a wine-themed movie, a Jazz & wine afternoon, and a selection of niche events to indulge and educate yourself.

Friday 12th October
Start your weekend right by sipping, savouring and chatting amongst wine-loving friends at Bendigo Heritage After Dark. This is a casual wine and food event hosted in the magnificent Fortuna Villa Gold Crushing Room. Standing in the Gold Crushing Room you’ll be in the very same room they extracted gold from quartz in the 1800’s.
With more than 40 Bendigo region wines to try, and regionally-sourced food to enjoy, you’ll be able to Wine Down after the working week. The event is 6 to 9pm.
Bendigo Heritage Uncorked
Saturday 20th October
Bendigo Heritage Uncorked is the city’s walking wine and food festival with a difference. You stroll between seven of Bendigo’s famous historic landmarks, tasting Bendigo region wines and having a tasting plate at each venue. With more than 60 wines on display, and food developed especially for the day, you can dive into the city’s culinary and wine culture. The impressive venues are conveniently located in Central Bendigo, and this year include Ulumbarra Theatre, Mackenzie Quarters, FOS Kitchen & Bar, Clogs, Hotel Shamrock, Chinese Gardens and Wine Bank on View.

Join the 2017 Bendigo's Best Shiraz - The People's Choice winner, Burnt Acre Vineyard, as they take you through a sumptuous six-course wine and food matching dinner. Presented in the historic Guard Room at Wine Bank on View this is a dinner to set your senses alight. One of the wines on the list is their wine that won the best shiraz in 2017 & no longer for public sale. 7pm start, numbers are limited.

A mouth-watering dinner matched with Mandurang Valley Wines and the opportunity to sit and chat with winemakers Pam and Wes Vine. Dinner will be held in the Mandurang Valley Wines cellar door.
The talented chef at one of Bendigo’s oldest wineries has created a delicious heritage inspired four course menu. Chef Travis Rodwell has drawn on his classically trained repertoire to create a night of French inspired dishes, with each course paired with Balgownie’s very own heritage wines.

Sandhurst Ridge Wines and Bottle Shock

Enjoy the 2008 American comedy-drama film Bottle Shock, over a glass of Sandhurst Ridge wine at the Star Cinema, preceded by tastings of Sandhurst Ridge wines. Doors open and Sandhurst Ridge wine tastings from 6.30pm, with the movie starting at 7pm. Purchase movie tickets on the night. Wine tastings are complimentary.
Tour & Taste - Three of Bendigo's Finest

MacKenzie Quarters invites you to join us at The Residence for a unique tour and taste experience of three of Bendigo's finest. Relax and unwind from the day and let us take you on a unique pre-dinner experience with a tour of MacKenzie Quarters.
Then sit and soak up the history of the old school masters residence whilst enjoying five seasonal tasting samples from Mason’s of Bendigo matched to wonderful local wines from Killiecrankie Wines.
Tickets are $75 per person.
Immerse yourself in this collaboration between three local Bendigo businesses. Sample GilGraves wine together with tasting plates from Clogs, in the craft beverage centre of Bendigo - The Hop Supply Co.
The new releases on show from GilGraves include their rosé, shiraz/malbec and Spanish varietal sangiovese. It's a casual night of wine and food, with no cost to attend. But make sure you book yourself a spot though.

Join us at Glenwillow Wines for an evening of rustic Northern Italian food, paired with our family-grown and produced Italian wines, Nebbiolo and Barbera, along with a few other Glenwillow special wines.
There are limited tickets for this unique evening of fine food, great wine and relaxed atmosphere, so get in early. There will be an opportunity to learn about the Glenwillow story, and our Italian wine varieties. Tables of 8 will be set up, so make up your own group of friends, or just take pot luck with like-minded food and wine groupies.
Tickets are $110 per person.
Join the Bendigo winegrowers and Bendigo Beer for a seafood degustation matched with Water Wheel wines and craft beer. Whether you are a wine person who wants to learn about beer, or vice versa, we have some great match-ups planned. You will hear about each dish and the pairing rationale, and you can cast your vote on what delicious beverage matched it better.

The Bendigo winegrowers Pop Up Wine Shop is all about the wines showcased during Bendigo Heritage Uncorked. The Wine Shop will be located in the basement at Mackenzie Quarters, one of the venues for Heritage Uncorked. It's the perfect opportunity to pick up a mix of the wines that you've enjoyed.
The Wine Shop is also open to the public during Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st October.
