Bendigo Wine Makers
Water Wheel Vineyard
Water Wheel Vineyards situated on the Loddon River in central Victoria was purchased in 1989 by the 'Cumming' family who have now farmed in the Bendigo region for fifty years.
Ron & Peter Cumming have a strong background in horticulture and place a strong emphasis on vineyard management.
At the winery the emphasis is on producing high quality, fruit driven wines with strong varietal definition and length on the palate.
The original 20 acres planted in 1970 have since been increased with the planting of four new vineyards on various soil types which have enhanced the complexity and overall quality of Water Wheel wines.
Major varieties are Shiraz, Memsie, Memsie White, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc.
