Wine tourism

Bendigo is a contemporary regional city 90 minutes drive from Melbourne Airport, and offers welcoming and friendly hospitality with the comforts of home. It's also a perfect overnight stop between Adelaide and the Victorian snowfields.

From rich, ripe reds to elegant whites, the wines from Bendigo’s gold-bearing soils are a wine lover’s treasure.

Meet the Winemakers

A visit to a local vineyard can often result in a good old chat with the winemaker about their latest vintage. Across the Bendigo Wine Region you’ll find more than 20 cellar doors waiting to be discovered. Cellar doors are frequently run by members of the family and the atmosphere is casual and friendly.
