Pondalowie Special Release Tempranillo 2008

Dominic and Krystina Morris of Pondalowie have experience with tempranillo and it shows.  Suggestions of liqueur cherries, spice, leather and vanilla, with a toasty touch, nod to Iberian tradition.  The lip-smacking palate is dense, rich and lingering, yet not too alcoholic.  A savoury, earthy tannin grip underlines it perfectly.  *****$$
