Harcourt Valley Reserve Barbara's Shiraz 2007

The Bendigo region makes reds of strong personality.  This very good example adds notes of bracken and eucalypt to ripe blackberry fruit and nicely restrained oak.  It has an attractive, fine mouth feel - not heavy but intense.  Soft, ripe tannins provide great support and it has a lingering, pleasantly tapered finish. ****1/2
