Lunch supports local Prostate Cancer Group

This year’s World’s Longest Lunch event in Rosalind Park will be supporting the Bendigo & District Prostate Cancer Support Group with funds raised from the annual charity raffle.

The popular lunch event is part of the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival and is on Friday 2 March 2012 from noon.

Presented by the Bendigo Winegrowers Association and Wine Bank on View, this event provides offers six courses and wine at a gorgeous table that will stretch along the grand boulevards of Bendigo’s historic Rosalind Park. 

“Each year we like to support a local charity by offer great raffle prizes to our lunch patrons,” said Wes Vine, Bendigo Winegrowers Association.

“We understand that prostate cancer unfortunately touches the lives of many locals and this is our way of showing our support.”

The Bendigo & District Prostate Cancer Support Group was formed in 1995 and is affiliated with the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.  The group offers emotional support and information to anyone with an interest in prostate cancer. 

To take your seat at this superb event and to help support this local support group it is essential to book.  Tickets are $125 per person for this six course experience and can be purchased from Wine Bank on View at 45 View Street, Bendigo or by calling (03) 5444 4655.
