Bendigo wine producer Glenwillow Wines has been awarded a Double Gold Medal at the Melbourne International Wine Competition for their 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon.
Held in July the Melbourne International Wine Competition is the first major international wine competition with trade-only judges comprised of buyers from the top retail stores, sommeliers, restaurant owners, hotel beverage directors, distributors and importers. This wine show is all about pairing food and wine which is part of the judging process.
Each of the competition judges scored the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon a Double Gold Medal recognising the quality and superiority of the wine. This is an outstanding result.
You can visit the Glenwillow Wines Cellar Door every weekend at Bendigo Pottery, 146 Midland Highway, Epsom.
At the same competition Harcourt Valley Vineyards was awarded a Silver Medal for their 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon and a Bronze Medal for their 2014 Mt Camel Range Shiraz. Harcourt Valley Vineyards is open daily from 11am to 6pm.
