Best wine of the show was awarded to Water Wheel’s 2014 Memsie Homestead Shiraz, Balgownie Estate was awarded the Trophy for Best Cabernet for their 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, and the Trophy for Best Mature Red Wine went to the 2010 Shiraz from Killiecrankie Wines.
The Daylesford Wine Show promotes cool climate wines from Macedon Ranges to Ballarat and has become an established event on the Victorian wine calendar

“To sample the award-winning wines, each of these wineries has a cellar door at their vineyards,” said Mr Vine.
Killiecrankie Wines is open on weekends and public holidays in Ravenswood. Balgownie Estate in Marong and Water Wheel Vineyards in Bridgewater on Loddon is open 7 days a week.
